Non-parallel flight lines

Postby Janne » Wed May 30, 2012 1:26 pm

I'll post here a question about irregular flight lines and image display:

"Can I in the same block include lines with headings differing with other values than around 180 degrees?
Can I for example in the same block have one line with heading 40 degrees and another line with heading 50 degrees?

I have tried to have lines with a heading difference of 90 degrees in the same block, but as I remember the image index did not display the images correctly then."

You can have in the same block lines in any directions with any headings. Just be careful to have correct value for heading (or yaw or kappa) for each image.

Image index (the gps index with circles and flight lines) will display the images correctly.
But if you have lines at 90 degree angles the four images on the screen will not be shown correctly in relation to each other, as the software rotates images of opposing (or adjacent) lines either 0 or 180 degrees, not in between.
However, this does not affect processing. It just makes image viewing and measuring manual points a bit more difficult.
